Diachem formulates chemical products for the agricultural industry, such as fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and other products, e.g., baits and attractants. We pay utmost attention to the quality and safety of our formulations guaranteeing the complete separation of departments and facilities dedicated to different product families.

Liquid formulation

EC & SL Water-based and solvent-based liquids

DIACHEM is equipped with formulation lines for water-based and solvent-based liquids which allow temperature monitoring, along with the creation of micro-emulsions, and nitrogen inertization. For active ingredients not soluble in water , DIACHEM is also able to realize salification at a controlled temperature

 

EC

Liquid formulation in which the active ingredient is dissolved in one or more organic solvents and added with emulsifying products to make it compatible with the water , means by which the product will be diluted for use .
The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are : physical stability ( must not exhibit phenomena of crystallization and / or phase separation ), chemically stability and compatibility with most of the mixtures used.

SL

Liquid formulation in which the active ingredient is dissolved in water , all the components of the formulation SL are solubilized in the aqueous mixture to be sprayed , which is in the form of a clear solution . SL formulations are prepared only for active ingredients with a high solubility . The parameters necessary to have a good quality of the formulation are : complete solubility of the active ingredient, chemically stability and compatibility with most of the mixtures used.
SC Liquid suspension Concentrate (Flowable) based on water or oil
In the 80’s Diachem was one of the pioneer company in Italy and Europe in the formulation of suspension concentrates (SC); 30 years after Diachem remains one of the pioneer for this type of production.

SC

Liquid formulation in which the active ingredient is suspended in water or oil (SC), finely micronized (between 3 and 6 μ) and added with wetting and dispersing agents which enhance the biological activity. Completing the formulation thickeners, defoamers and anti-bacterial / anti-mold. The micronization is particularly effective in improving the action of fungicide products.
The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are: suspension stability, absence of thickening phenomena, surface separation and bottom separation, crystal growth, and compatible with most of the mixture used.

EW Emulsions in water and oil
EW

Aqueous liquid formulation (product appearance is milky) in which the active ingredient and / or a small amount of solvent (mineral or vegetable) admixed with a small amount of surfactant is emulsified in water using mechanical stirring at high shear (turboemulsifier) obtaining fineness of the emulsion comprised between 1 and 3 μ. Completing the formulation thickeners, defoamers and anti-bacterial / anti-mold.
The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are : emulsion stability , absence thickening phenomena , surface separation and bottom separation , and compatibility with most of the mixture used.
CS Capsule Suspension

CS

Liquid formulation in which the active substance and possibly a small portion of a suitable solvent is finely emulsified in water (suspended in the solvent) and covered with a thin, biodegradable polymeric film (microcapsule) which gradually releases it (release in a controlled manner). This formulation has excellent stability, good persistence of action and allows to obtain a notable decrease in acute toxicity.
The parameters necessary to have a good quality of the formulation are: suspension stability, absence of crystallization phenomena, granulometry optimization.

WP & DP Wettable and dry powders
WP

Solid formulation obtained usually by mixing the active ingredient with the dispersants, bathers and inert, and grinding and/or milling (3-5 µ) together all the components.
The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are: the product must not packaging in time, it must have a good wettability and a good suspensory and it must be compatible with most of the mixture used.

DP

Solid formulation obtained usually by mixing the active ingredient with the dispersants, bathers and inert, and grinding together all the components.

Differently than the formulations WP mode of use, dust DP are not dispersed in water but used dry and are used primarily in the treatment of seeds

GR & SG & WG Granular ready to use, granular water soluble and water dispersible granular
Diachem has three production processes for the formulation of granular: formulation by “spraying of the active ingredient on an inert granular support” (coating), ” formulation by “compaction”, and formulation by “wet granulation and subsequent drying with fluid bed”.

GR

Solid formulation, the use of which provides for the distribution of the dry granules. The parameters necessary to have a good quality of the formulation are: the product should not pack in time, should not be dusty or disintegrate.

SG

Solid formulation with soluble ative ingredient, the use of which involves the dispersion of the granules in water. The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are: the product should not pack in time, should not be dusty, must have good wettability and good suspensory in water.

WG

Solid formulation in which the components (active ingredient, dispersants, inert) are homogenized, and micronized and at the end granulated. The use involves the dispersion of the granules in water. The parameters necessary to have a good quality formulation are: the product should not pack in time, should not be dusty, must have good wettability and a good suspensory in water.
