DIACHEM “Company that Promotes Health” for the year 2014

The WHP ASL Bergamo team carried out the analysis on Diachem’s reporting and has made the achievement of the requirements of “Company that Promotes Health” for the year 2014. On Wednesday December 3rd we held the awards ceremony for all Bergamo’s companies participating in the project.

This year Diachem has undertaken in the following areas:

Thematic area 4: ROAD SAFETY AND MOBILITY SUSTAINABLE, with

Good Practice 4.2: PROCEDURE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE USE OF VEHICLES COMPANY with:

– A verification activity of the vehicle was to be made on a quarterly basis with checklists documented (36-43 MOS active from 2009);

– OPL (one point lesson) about the proper use of the company’s means of transport regarding actions to be performed before use, during use, after use and about specific risks, general risks, recommendations and prohibitions related driving (OPL 74 active Sept. 2014)

Good Practice 4.5: Conventions & Incentives reward for ROAD SAFETY with:

– Convention with the workshop BARUFFI in Caravaggio, which provides special discounts for all Diachem staff on major maintenance services for cars;

Good Practice 4.6: ORGANIZATION OF A COLLECTIVE SHIPPING SERVICE with:

– a corporate Minivan was provided to a group of employees to reach the place of work in place of their own car. The service is aimed at workers who until 2012 worked in our former headquarter of Albano Sant’Alessandro. For them a company Minivan is available to drive from Albano Sant’Alessandro (where they can leave the personal cars) to the new headquarters of Caravaggio and to return to Albano at the finished working hours.

Good Practice 4.8: SAFE DRIVING COURSE FOR DRIVERS, EMPLOYEES THAT GO TO WORK BY CAR with:

– “Moving Security 2.0″: meeting in the company for the promotion of safe driving. The Promoter is: Regione Lombardia, Milan Automobile Club and INAIL Lombardy.

Thematic area 5: ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCES, with

Good Practice 5.1: BUSINESS REGULATION ABOUT ALCOHOL with

Regulation (IOS 23): 3. It’s forbidden to take alcoholic drinks and spirits.

Good Practice 5.6: INTERNAL INFORMATION CAMPAIGN ON ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCES with

• Display posters / notices on the bulletin board

Good Practice 5.7: COMPANY INITIATIVE DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS with

Blood tests in June 2014 with a survey of liver function to verify possible dependencies

For the thematic area ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCES, in addition to the practices mentioned above, will be provided in 2015:

– Meeting for employees on alcohol (1 hour) held by a doctor who works with the ASL of Bergamo,

– Approval of a company policy in terms of alcohol.

In addition, for the thematic area PROMOTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (a selected area in 2013), it is to be recalled the agreements with gyms 6-24 in Bergamo and PUNTO FITNESS in Caravaggio, active since June 2014.

To continue the program WHP, Diachem will identify in 2015 two new thematic areas, and will follow some of the good practices included in the project.
